First blog from Ortese Village 2010

Hi All
Greetings from Ortese Village!
Saturday (July 10th) was the pegging and digging of the foundation of the church-a lot of pictures to attach and send as soon as I can. We continued with the foundation today and hopefully done by tomorrow with the digging and brindding beginning. A lot of iron rods are involved and are very expensive. The church is designed to sit 500 people. Villagers are so happy. I have been spining around as you cannot imagine. Bricks for the construction of the church will not be enough, I need to add more. Wednesday is the measurement and digging of the school foundation. People in the village are insisting that the school should open at least partially this September. Thinking therefore to complete two blocks of four classrooms each and one administrative block and start enrolment by August ending to September. This will require a lot of work and a lot of spending. I am having two seperate groups of workers:one for the Church and one for the school. I hope to send pictures in my next email. Temperatures are just perfect-not hot not cold.
Best regards to the family of BHTN.
